The Health and Environment Services is responsible for provision of waste management,municipal health and sanitation services.

Waste Management

• refuse collection
• town cleaning
• special services - which including such services as garden and mass refuse collection

Municipal Health Services

• water quality monitoring
• surveillance of food premises
• food control
• vector control - control of pest in the food preparation and delivery industy as well as infestation control at landfills
• disposal of the dead - overseeing activities of the funeral undertakers/mortuaries
• waste management
• environmental pollution monitoring and control

Sanitation

• removal of night soil

• vacuuming of septic tanks
